Software Engineer · Educator · Mountain Bike Coach
Profile
I’m a computer scientist, teacher, mountain biker, and builder who likes figuring out how things work — and then finding a better way to make them work.
My background spans software engineering, systems thinking, mathematics and physics education, and professional mountain biking. I’ve taught and mentored students while traveling the world, built software and AI systems, and spent more time than I can count riding bikes in the mountains.
I’m drawn to problems that sit at the intersection of technology and people. Whether I’m building software, teaching a difficult concept, or figuring out how to turn an idea into something real, I care most about making complicated things simple, useful, and human.

Continued teaching, coaching, traveling, and leading students while navigating cancer treatment. That experience strengthened my approach to adversity: stay calm, solve the problem in front of you, take care of the people around you, and keep moving forward.
